The Captains of Industry Sailing Cup is a genuine sailing race for companies similar to the legendary America’s Cup, the oldest international sporting trophy.
Work hard, sail hard
The Captains of Industry Sailing Cup is a unique yachting trophy for entrepreneurs. The official America’s Cup competition rules and procedures apply. As a participant, you will be one of the crew members.
Check in, relax and get set
All sailors and guests are welcomed at the Event Village in the Nieuwpoort Royal marina, where you can safely park your car for the day. After a nice cup of coffee accompanied by a fine breakfast, you will be briefed about the day’s program.
Program and schedule
Check-in and breakfast
We welcome you from 8:30 am in the Royal marina of Nieuwpoort. You leave your car in the secure private car park. After you’ve flushed down your sailor breakfast with a nice cup of coffee, you’re ready to get started.
Practice
In the morning we practice off the coast of Nieuwpoort and you as a participant get the chance to practice basic sailing techniques. Enjoy the spectacle and the sailors’ work of the others or have a chat with our many guests.
Lunch and race
After lunch there is the skippers meeting. Competition rules and procedures are explained. About three competitions are sailed.
Ceremony and after-party
We re-enter the harbor around 5 pm where the winning teams are rewarded the Captains of Industry Sailing Cup. Let the good food, dancing and networking begin!
