Capains of Industry Sailing Cup. The legendary event that started more than 20 years ago. The basis of what the captains week is all about: sailing and networking to boost your today business and also your future business. After a warm welcome, the guests will experience a first sailing trip at sea after the briefing of their well selected skipper. In the meantime the first sessions in the plenary room start for those who wish to stay ashore. After lunch, the real work begins for the sailors, the race. While the plenary sessions just continue in the afternoon, with first class speakers. When everyone docks again and the sessions end, a memorable ‘Apereau’, prize-giving ceremony and exclusive dinner with best class networking opportunities will follow.

The Captains is more than just sailing. You can follow the best content within the theme of the circular economy. On this day, we focus on business, innovation and climate. You can find the full programme above under the “plenary” tab. We are happy to welcome Jo Caudron, kickstart companies from The Circular Hub, Jo De Wolf from The SHIFT, River Cleanup/CO2 Logic and many more, among others. If you are interested in the circular economy, want to focus more on it or realise that as a company you can’t get around this topic anymore; then this day is for you. Staying true to our love of the sea, we will also provide time to get out on the water. Finishing the day we will have a surprise speaker, speed dates with kickstart companies and of course lots of networking, good food and fun.

The classic Captains story and still our top formula. As a company, you can sign up for one of the boats below. Taking a boat provides access to the venue, VIP catering throughout the day and, of course, sailing. You do not need to include a captain in the number, that is provided as part of the package. Invite your customers, business associates, partners or colleagues for a day of sailing. No sailing experience required! In the morning your skipper will teach you the tricks of the trade. After a skipper’s lunch, we start the real work: the Sailing Cup. An impressive number of boats sail a course off the coast of Nieuwpoort in battle for the coveted cup. Fun guaranteed, as only amateurs are present here. Cosy afterglow with drinks, snacks and music before we start dinner. Those who still have energy left can swing loose at the afterparty.
The smallest boat but definitely the cosiest. Do you have a limited group of guests but still want to take 100% advantage of everything the event has to offer? Then opt for this boat. On the water, these are the fast and finny boats.

We touch on the general principles of the circular economy and culminate in the diversity of themes of this exciting topic. A focus on climate: eliminate pollution and support nature. Circular technologies are there to assist us in this. Climate is the biggest driver of the circular economy. Our resources are not endless. Waste is a blemish, but it is also used to renew. Who are the people committed to this? Following is the circular transition. Companies will have to arm themselves with the tools that the circular economy brings. But how will they do this and what tools are there to assist them in this? Together with our partners and external speakers, we will clarify that quest. Because ultimately, we need to arrive at circular innovation. We already have a lot of companies that are role models in the circular mission. Who are they and what are they currently doing? But more importantly, how are they doing it and what can we learn from them?
